Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard
one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder,
“Come.”  I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come.”

—Revelation 6:1-3

While there is certainly a place for enthusiastic singing, clapping and the raising of hands in our times of corporate worship...there is something else this verse and our study in Revelation chapters 4 & 5 will both capture and commend: reverential awe! When the angels "worship(ped)," they all fall down before the throne. As we begin this three-week journey with John into the throne room, pray, even now, that the Lord might allow us to grasp His greatness. Pray that our time in His presence might awaken our awe and renew our resolve to know Him and make Him known. And so as the Psalmist says: "Come, let us worship and bow down." (Psalm 95:6)
