Welcome to Harvest Kids, the children's ministry of Harvest Bible Chapel Orlando. Our goal as a body is to partner with parents working with one another to lead our children into a knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
PURPOSE
We desire to be a helping hand with families in our community. While we
understand discipleship begins in the home, we want to partner with parents by
teaching kids to follow Christ's example. We want to encourage our kids to be
an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity (1 Timothy
4:12). We want them to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind
(Matthew 22:37).
VALUES
We believe that the Pillars of Harvest Bible Chapel are the platform of our
children's ministry. We want to proclaim the authority of God's Word
without apology (2 Timothy 4:1-5 and Hebrews 4:12). We want to lead by example
in lifting high the name of Jesus Christ in worship (Mark 12:30, John 4:23-24,
and John 12:32). We pray for our kids, believing in the power of prayer
(Jeremiah 33:3, Ephesians 6:18, and James 5:16). We pray our kids will boldly
share the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 9:36-38, Romans 1:16, and Ephesians
6:19-20).
YOUR CHILD'S EXPERIENCE & GROWTH
We are excited to teach a curriculum in our 2 year, 3 year, and 4 year old
classrooms utilizing The Beginner's Bible felt board. Classrooms have age-appropriate games and toys designed to enhance learning,
but not to distract them from the ultimate purpose of each class...to learn
about Jesus and His amazing grace available to us!
YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY & SECURITY
We are committed to the safety, security and well-being of every child, and the way we accomplish this is through our automated check-in system called Fellowship One. Another way we accomplish this is controlled access into all
children's areas. We limit the access only to parents and children's
ministry servants. Speaking of servants, all of our servants go through a
thorough background check process before they are allowed to serve in any
children's area. This includes criminal, sex offender, and social trace
information.
Parents, check all children in at our kiosks using your key tag(s) just like you do on the weekends. Guests, please check-in at the Children's Ministry Information desk. Then, all children will go to the main Worship Center to begin.
Please pick up your children promptly at 7:30 p.m. All children will be picked up in their classrooms.. Click here for more details.
Many hands make light work! We're each equipped with special gifts and talents and it takes all of us working together to fulfill the goal of our children's ministry. Some of you will enjoy working in the classroom with children, while others may like working behind the scenes. Here are just a few things we need people to do:
- Help children apply the Biblical lesson to their lives
- Provide a wonderful first impression with first time guest during check-in
- Introduce the truth of God's Word to children
- Organize and/or tidy up
- Hold and play with young children
- Complete an Interest Form
- Print, complete and sign a Volunteer Application (We do this for everyone serving in children's ministry, to ensure a safe environment for the children.)
- Once we receive your information, we'll contact you to talk through your interests and find the perfect place for you to serve!
